PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
GADAB Engineering, Fredericksburg, TX 2002 - Present
Owner / Consultant
• Provide FEA/CFD computational model generation for private and government sectors. Work closely with client engineering, modeling, and development teams.
• Identify requirements, conduct extensive industry-specific research and data compilation.

Selected Projects
Southwest Research Institute (2002 – Present)
• Constructed parametric mesh for innovative biomechanical model of human spines. Model utilizes single set of input files covering 5th percentile female to 95th percentile male subject data.
• Analyzed legacy modeling process and streamlined model verification. Simplified modeling process by migrating from Pro-E CAD and building geometries directly in TrueGrid preprocessor.
• Introduced reliability analysis by fully parameterizing geometry within FEA preprocessor, enabling current project phases feasible. Automatically generate vertebral geometries based on 30 experimentally-derived parameters.
• Facilitated client’s ability to expand project scope, length, and funding.

Silicon Graphics International (2005 – 2006)
• Coordinated multi-national joint project with SGI, Ansys, CEI, ESSS, and Embraco in marketing collective products/services to scientific/engineering sector.
• Authored compelling multiple-refinements model presentation. Combined insightful flow field animation with key variable plots, establishing confidence in computational simulation’s accuracy.
• Collaborated on articles for publication.

Applied Research Associates (2003 – 2004)
• Key member of team responsible for producing complex Boeing 767-200 FEA mesh for NIST-sponsored World Trade Center impact analysis project.
• Carried out structural analyses beginning from initial moment of impact and following all physical changes in structure throughout entire event, down to individual component level on both sides.
• Selected for project as TrueGrid knowledge expert. Provided recommendations for enhancing input file setup. Improved organizational and documentation aspects of project.
• Enabled construction of evenly-distributed, 1.9 million node mesh in only four months, with simple generalization of refined, localized studies to final model.
• Reduced multiple component model integration times from estimated two-day period to less than four hours. Accomplished most modifications and corrections within one hour.
• Recognized for contributing to successful completion of project within strict deadline.

Sandia National Laboratories (2003)
• Conducted quality assurance review of existing national defense modeling system and delivered recommendations for program improvements.

Southwest Research Institute (2003)
• Provided technical input on modeling project involving development of Humvee armor for Army.

XYZ Scientific Applications, Inc., Livermore, CA 1998 – 2002
Vice President
• Prepared and delivered technical presentations for TrueGrid FEA/CFD preprocessor.
• Provided technical support on wide range of structural and fluid modeling projects.
• Produced over 20% increase in sales each year and doubled staff in less than four years.
• Conducted training of customers on and off-site on various modeling applications.
• Assisted with coding and version testing for new versions.
• Authored and presented papers at national conferences.

Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA 1993 – 1998
Computer Specialist / Scientific Visualization Lab Manager
• Managed Scientific Visualization and High Performance Computing laboratory. Updated equipment. Optimized C and FORTRAN codes on Cray and high-end SGI computers.
• Increased funding for seven departments by creating broadcast-quality postprocessing videos.
• Produced aircraft flight formation videos adopted for pilot training by Navy.
• Recognized with Award for Superior Performance.

Quantic Engineering, Inc., San Carlos, CA 1987 – 1989
Design Engineer
• Designed and built high-speed precision mechanism enabling safe warhead detonation. Performed all prototype testing and completed prototype stage without additional modifications.
• Served as mathematician-in-residence for all matters pertaining to computer modeling.
